In conjunction with your cardiovascular work, you should also look to incorporate some sort of strength training into your regime. Focus on problem areas such as your thighs, abs, and arms by doing low weight, and high repetitions on 2-3 different machines per body part. In the midst of your workout only allow yourself enough time to catch your breath before starting the next machine. The idea here is to use the weight training part of the program as a bridge for your cardio program.
